A leaking water line above a water heater is one of those problems that sneaks up on you. It starts small - maybe a little moisture, a drip you write off as condensation - and then one day you're dealing with water damage, corroded fittings, or worse. We caught this one before it got to that point.

Here's what we were working with: an aging unit that had clearly seen better days, with a leaking water line above it adding pressure to an already struggling system. Left alone, that combination can cause real damage to a garage floor, surrounding walls, and the plumbing connections nearby. Not worth the risk.

We repaired the leaking line and pulled the old unit out. In its place went a new Bradford White water heater - clean connections, proper fittings, and everything set up the right way from the start. That expansion tank up top is properly tied in too, which matters more than most people realize for maintaining safe system pressure.

The difference between the before and after here really comes down to peace of mind. No more drip. No more wondering when that old tank is going to give out. Just a solid, reliable setup that's ready to do its job.

If your water heater is getting up there in age or you've noticed any moisture around your water lines, it's worth having someone take a look. Catching issues early - whether it's a repair or a full water heater installation - is almost always the cheaper and smarter move.
