Here's a setup we're really proud of. The old tank was leaking and well past its useful life - not exactly something you want to let sit. We pulled it out and put in a new Bradford White electric water heater, which is one of the most reliable units on the market. Built in the USA, solid warranty, and built to handle daily demand without issue.

But we didn't stop there. The home had a hard water problem too, so we paired the new water heater with a Novo water softener system. Hard water is tough on everything it touches - your appliances, your pipes, your skin, your dishes. A water softener tackles all of that at once.

What's nice about doing both at the same time is that you're protecting your new water heater from day one. Hard water causes mineral buildup inside the tank, which shortens its lifespan and hurts efficiency. When the softener is treating the water going into the heater, the whole system runs cleaner and lasts longer.

The expansion tank mounted on top of the water heater is another detail worth noting - it's a pressure regulation component that keeps the system safe and up to code. Little things like that matter. We don't cut corners on the parts that most people never see.

Whether your water heater is aging out, actively leaking, or your water quality has always been a problem, these are issues that compound over time. Getting ahead of them usually saves money compared to dealing with damage after the fact.
